Cameron began ministry at New Life in January of 2009, after five years as a pastor in Appomattox, Virginia.

After graduating from Salem High School in 1982, his undergraduate work was done at Liberty University from 1984-87. In May 2002, finished at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida (M.Div).

Cameron and his wife, Shannon, a veterinarian in the area, have been married for 29 years and have three children, Matthew, Rachel, and Noelle, as well as an assortment of animals - three dogs, a horse, a catlots of chickens (sigh), two ducks (double sigh), and a couple of turkeys. (Can you tell he's married to a Vet?)  Cameron grew up in the Roanoke Valley and, after nearly seventeen years away from the Valley, back "home" in Salem.

Music Director/ Ministry Assistant

Alan Clark

My parents were traveling evangelists and I spent most of my childhood on the road in a bus with my family of thirteen. After a few years I found my place amid the chaos - I kept my ten younger siblings in order, played the guitar, upright bass or harmonica, sang gospel and preached. Each child in my family learned an instrument and we all played together and sang gospel and bluegrass. We played numerous times at the Roanoke Performing Arts Center for the Fiddle and Banjo Club and were even blessed with winning the Galax Old Time Fiddler’s Convention in 1993. When I was in my twenties, five of my brothers and I made our way to Nashville where we were signed on as the country music group The Clark Family Experience. We were fortunate enough to travel with some of the legends of country and perform at incredible venues like the Grand Ole Opry. As I got older my priorities changed and I was ready to settle down, get married - Beth, and have a family - Alex, Austin and Adam. I went back to what I knew - an evangelism path, with music as its center. I look forward to growing and sharing and getting together to fellowship and singing God’s Word with the New Life Presbyterian church family.
